About Us
Founded in 2006, www.stgeorgesholiday.com is a grassroots movement dedicated to making St George’s Day an official bank holiday in England. The campaign works with communities and councils, to promote English heritage, culture, and pride.
St George's Holiday has no links to any political or religious organisation. We would like everyone living in England or who calls themselves English (regardless of colour, religion or sexuality) to celebrate their common heritage and future together with a bank holiday on 23 April.
